In situ concrete is in wide spread use for large scale structures. This proven in situ concrete building material has been on a world wide agenda for housing for more than 100 years. Recently the Bryant development programme for in situ concrete and small scale structures over a period of 18 years researched, developed and field tested technology that would enable the building industry to economically add in-situ concrete walls to produce complete residential structures without changing existing concrete floor slab designs, wall appearances or home fit-out products.
Extensive building programmes were introduced with different trade skills to enable a clear understanding of small scale in situ concrete construction work and equipment requirements. The programmes included several commercial buildings, high security buildings and more than 100 residential concrete homes, including 15 concrete homes for aboriginals.
Research of equipment for in situ concrete walls and availability of work skills led to the development of reusable light weight formwork that did not require heavy lifting equipment. It was also necessary for the formwork to be manufactured by existing local work shop skills. This would eliminate equipment shortages and reduce in situ concrete construction times and costs. The "Bryant" technology enables the cost effective use of in situ concrete to include small scale structures both in the city and the remote areas of Australia
The "Bryant" light weight reusable formwork equipment and concrete building system won the "2005 Australian Engineering Excellence Award".
Formwork Creations Pty Ltd has the responsibility to expand the commercial use of in situ concrete for both small and large scale concrete structures by making licences available for the wide spread use of the patented technology "Method and Apparatus for Construction".

This new light weight formwork is simple to use, fast and efficient, it has only 15 clearly identifiable different components The formwork assembly can be used three different ways :-
The above different formwork assembly and disassembly procedures are combinations of the light weight formwork to give construction managers a choice of on site work procedures The wall corners, wall junctions, openings and wall thickness is simply adjusted during assembly. Wall cavity items, electrical, plumbing and stay in place polystyrene insulation are locked in place and moulded in the concrete walls. The concrete forces in the wall cavity self align the formwork support frames to their selected positions |

A concrete roof slab supported and connected to external and internal load bearing in-situ concrete walls is stronger and less complicated than conventional roofs. Standard formwork support frames can be used for both vertically and horizontally in-situ concrete to support the form ply and ply sheet joints.
All formwork manufacturing details and work procedures are detailed in an easy to use standard operating procedures manual. The manual is directed towards sustainable cost effective concrete housing.
The above ground external work platform is designed to be attached to the solid reinforced concrete walls and to also support formwork for the construction of concrete eaves around the perimeter of the building.
